Allen Espinosa

Allen Espinosa, Senior Consultant, specializes in providing economic development/site selection consulting services related to the location of new business operations or the expansion of existing business operations.  These services include being a liaison for the company with economic development and governmental representatives, site location financial analysis, and negotiation of business incentives packages with state and local jurisdictions.  He provides companies with these services on a nationwide basis, with an emphasis on the Southeast and Southwest.  Mr. Espinosa was a Senior Consultant with Ryan, LLC’s Tampa office for 4 years.  He has over 4 years of experience with the state and local economic development process and has established significant relationships with economic development professionals throughout the U.S., which allows him to guide clients through the qualitative and quantitative aspects of a site selection project in a timely manner.  Mr. Espinosa earned his B.S. in Finance from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude,from Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, he won the book award for State & Local Tax and spent a semester studying International and European Union Law at Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Mr. Espinosa is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida (Merit is not a law firm) and is a member of several economic development and state and local tax organizations.
